St Mary’s Buckland has a small group of volunteer flower arrangers who ensure there are always fresh flowers in the Church. The volunteers also produce wonderful flower arrangements throughout the Church for Easter, Harvest and Christmas. The Flower Arrangers Committee, who organize the rota and coordinate the decorations for the major festivals, is headed up by Jean Cooke. Funds available for the purchase of flowers are limited and therefore St Mary’s relies on the generosity of the volunteer flower arrangers and donations from the congregation.

In August 2016 St Mary’s will be staging a Flower Festival and the designer Sue Haynes, who organized the flowers in St Mary’s for over 20 years, will be orchestrating a spectacular show. The title of the Festival is “The Art of Nature” The Church will be filled with wonderful coloured and scented displays. The Festival runs for three days from Saturday 27^th to Monday 29^th August. St Mary’s has a long history of producing fantastic Flower Festivals; the last one in 2012 was a phenomenal success.
